Well, today is a SPCL day. Many events are held to mark tis day. Example a 24hrs RTW Live Earth concert to be held over 7 continents, starting off with SYD at 0200 (GMT). After tat, it moves over to TYO, SHA, HAM, LON, JNB, RIO & ending at NYC.
On top of tis concert, over 700 pairs of love birds are tying their knot on tis day too. According to news report, it doubles the number for the past 2 years.
So many events today: 1) National Stadium is finally closing down today to make way for a new sports hub. 2) Hong Kong is celebrating their 10th year of return to China tonight. 3) Last day where GST will remains as 5%.
Initially, juz planned to have a haircut only. Ended up doing coloring too. Chose a tone brighter den the previous round. The whole course took me arnd two hours. After tat, went Suntec. After getting the Fila bag + 2 pairs of socks, we grabbed a bite at Ya Kun. Walked to Bugis from Suntec. At first din noticed tat Seiyu has been renamed to BHG until i saw the signage.
Went back to Tampines after tat to meet Krystle. Metro CS is totally in a chaotic situation due to the closing sales. Later we had our dinner at Fish & Co & dessert at Cafe Cartel. Tried the Tiramisu Coffee Shake and a slice of Bitter Chocolate cake. The Tiramisu was indeed FABULOUS!!! Instantly fell in love with it after the 1st sip.
Recvd a call/msg frm David & Dorin while I'm otw back to flat. They were chilling out at Chinatown. Thot of joining them after putting down my stuff. Arranged to meet up next week for movie.
Finally, tis day arrives. Tis makan had been changed so many times until i lost count. From one AO to another, every details have to be changed. Tis time almost can't make it if venue unable to cfm due last min.
The delivery guy frm Siam Kitchen was damn on time. Received a call frm them while we're otw dere in the cab. As usual, it started off with a speech. Later, we took some group photos b4 attacking our food. Haha, 4gotten 2 take pics of the food b4 we started. Otherwise, those pics will cause you 2 drool. LOL!
Geez, i muz be over stressed by this event until i tapped the sensor at the security gate with my ezlink card iso my staff card.
Was very pissed off with xxxxxxl's sms until i asked Adel 2 reply him. WDF! Who does he think he is? Juz dun bother me with yr family problems as i have no wish to be labelled as betrayer by yr wife who happens 2 be my fren. U two jolly well go and sort out yr stuff yourself. All i can do is juz offer my listening ear. U want proof, den u go get PI. Y bother me?
It was arnd 1150hrs when me & few colleagues experienced some tremors. The few of us thot tat we were having giddy spells or headaches. The tremors brought back my memories & feelings in Kaohsiung where i experienced my 1st earthquake. It was only when we brought the issue out, only den did we realise/suspect tat it was an earthquake.
Was talking abt it when the quake happened again at 1350hrs. Tis time, many of them felt it too. Confirmed from Channelnewsasia website tat both earthquake/aftershocks were actually frm Sumatra, Indonesia. Both times registered a magnitude of 6.6. They even have a spcl reports on tis quake. Wonders will it trigger any tsunami?
On my way to Tampines (on courtesy of Hanim), received a call from Ah Mei tat granny is hospitalised at TTSH. Called up Rach to cancel our meeting and rushed down to TTSH by cab. Bought 2 curry puffs b4 hopping into cab at Century Square. Din know it's so expensive to travel in cab now-a-days. Cab fare costs me arnd $14.
Granny is made to stay for observation. Several of my aunties were there. Cudn't ctc mum. Later, smallest uncle sent me home.
Q was down in mIRC. Hopefully, tis has nthg to do wif the quake. Very tired, slping soon. Nitez, peeps.
Decided to visit Kamakura. Enoshima Kamakura Free Pass is also available at Shinjuku, Odakyu counter.
Trekked arnd the place. Kena conned paying 100yen juz 2 use teh escalator 4 less den 3mins ride. Sigh!!! Tis time round, realli thot my legs gave up on me after climbing those steps. It was worth teh effort when greeted by the majestic sea view. Able to see sea-gulls flying arnd freely, eagle(???). Not 2 mention Mount Fuji once again.
Happened 2 see some kodomo dressed up for their Shichi-go-san Day. Taihen KAWAII, desu!
Supposed 2 go out wif my gal fren last nite but ended up falling alseep & give her aeroplane. Bet she muz be very furious wif me. Sms-ed her oso no reply.
Dead tired after attending a sch carnival. President & wife were dere @ teh event. Saw Edmund Chen & family (except Xiang Yun) late afternoon. Had bad headache by teh time i got back.
Started 2 panic as i haben pack my bag 4 my trip yet. Quite excited over teh trip. Guess i'll start teh actual packing 2molo.
Launch of B777-ER Product
Went to Sports Club for our new product launch tis afternoon. Wow, P & J cabin seats are all leathered and it's spacious enuff to sleep 2 ppl(asian size). Infant towel taihen kawaii neh...
Took some fotos. However, not fit to be shown here as my skills are lousy...Well, we have a lanyard as a souvenir to commerate the launch.
Went wif Berricia to Comex 2006 @ Expo. Met her up at Expo MRT, had BK 4 lunch. Everywhere, ppl mountain ppl sea(人山人海). Queuing is common scene. While having our lunch, we bought 2 tulips (purple 4 mei mei, pink 4 me) in support of CCF Tulip's Day event. Saw Kero, Dewei and Petrarchan working at their booth.
We got wat we wanted ie mei mei bought her earfones and headset wif additional vacuum cleaner. I bought speakers and vaccum cleaner.
Crowd getting worse as we were leaving......Tired but fruitful day!
